At the base of the iceberg we find the Service Farm , the service center technological infrastructure. The service center is at the heart of the whole system and communicates directly or indirectly with three other subjects: the broadcaster, the user and the content providers.

The Server Farm consists of a hardware infrastructure, built in accordance with the most advanced technological standards and provided with the most sophisticated security systems.

SetMedia Server Farm includes:
• A Developement Environment : different transmission servers DVB-T, DVB-H, DVB-S, http, Https, Ftp (Cardinal, Alticast), together with specific software, constitute the development environment, for the programming and realization of interactive applications;
• A Testing Environment: Before the production, the applications are carefully tested in order to make sure they respect the quality standards and to verify the correct access to the information and data, also through a connection with the return channel.
• Production: Sends the applications and software to the broadcasters for publication.

Particularly, picture 1 shows the architecture of the platform for development and testing of MHP applications, for digital TV. The SetMedia environment for development and testing consists of DVB-T transmission servers and modulators for the radio transmission of the applications.
The visualization of the applications and software on different TV displays and through different decoders also allows to verify their correct functioning on the most diffused devices on the market.
